The past few weeks we've had some amazingly flattering reviews for our new album "Slouching," have held a steady spot in Noisetrade's top downloads, and climbed the charts into a Top 20 spot on Feedbands.
We wanted to take a minute to thank some people who deserve it (in no particular order): Ryan from Local Eyes Video Production is completely responsible for our music video, and we thank him for all of his effort in helping our childish vision become a reality. Scott from S.S. Odyssey is an insanely talented artist. Scott drew our flamingo, and designed the whole jacket for the album. He kept giving us all of this amazing art, but we kept having him simplify it down to what it became. He's capable of so much more than what we wanted from him, but he was also able to give us exactly what we wanted. Thanks Scott. Jake from Young the Giant came and listened to the album while we were mixing it, he helped us figure out some stuff we were stuck on, and he doodled a picture of Jon and Spencer which we ended up using as the disc art. YTG was also the first page to re-post our music video when it premiered on Gimme Indie, so thanks for that too, and thanks Jana and all of the editors of Gimme Indie for helping us get our video launched. Michael Fossenkemper at TurtleTone as always made our album feel truly complete with his mastering. Thanks Bill at Secret Chief for the support, and Eric at The Wayfarer for hosting our release show with My Double, My Brother and Roah Summit. There have been a lot of bands and individuals who have been around supporting us from the beginning. You all know who you are, we hope. This album wouldn't be what it is without everyone who's been there the whole time, but that's opening up a whole different can of worms. Finally, thanks to everyone who's simply given the album a listen, like, share, come to a show, or whatever. This is probably directed toward anyone who read this far down, thanks for supporting independent music. Comments are closed.
